Noshinom

Problem Statement

Close to 400,000kg of fruits imported are disposed of in Singapore and cosmetic standards in industries such as supermarkets are the main culprit. Something radically different needs to change to reduce this food waste and improve efficiency dramatically.

Noshinom aims to provide another avenue for which rejected produce can be repurposed and redistributed through leveraging flash-freezing technology and educating businesses on the benefits of using frozen fruits.

Project Description

Noshinom aims to provide another avenue for which rejected produce can be repurposed and redistributed through leveraging flash-freezing technology and educating businesses on the benefits of using frozen fruits.

Noshinom will use flash freezing technology to produce individually quick frozen (IQF) products from cosmetically rejected, edible produce for existing businesses that are using it or businesses that are able to adopt the use of it. This will not only allow help to reduce the waste produced but also create a more circular economy in Singapore.
