“Sometimes the greatest adventure is simply a conversation”

These dialogues allow youths like us to come forward and share our views on issues close to our hearts. We’ve heard from a myriad of youths from different walks of life, bringing in diverse views and perspectives. And we were heard by experts and policymakers who wanted to know what we thought.

The goal? To convert what we spoke about into actionable steps.

The SG Youth Action Plan gives us opportunities to take ownership of the causes and issues we care about. Through online and face-to-face engagements, we’ve put together a vision for youths, by youths on what we want to see in Singapore by 2025, and how we can make it happen.

This is the crux of the SG Youth Action Plan. It may seem like everything that matters has been done. Our peers may seem contented and the status quo seems bearable. But it’s not. And it’s time for us to stand for what we believe in, to make a difference in the issues that matter.

The Somerset Belt is set to become a vibrant youth precinct in Singapore, as part of the wider Orchard Road rejuvenation plan. We get to play a part in the continual shaping of the Somerset Belt by voicing our thoughts and ideas on what we want to see.
