Considering herself a little awkward by nature, Sherlayne sought refuge in dance! What she’s not able to express through words, she expresses through movement!
“Choreographing is my way of sharing my experiences and thoughts with the world, in the hope that it might resonate with someone out there, to give them the same release other choreographies have given me. I first danced at *SCAPE when I was 13 to prepare for some KPOP competitions I joined with friends, and it’s been my second home for the past 7 to 8 years. I’ve recently been given the opportunity to teach Street Jazz at O School too, which has been so surreal and an absolute dream for me! Both *SCAPE and O School have indeed given me precious friends, memories and experiences I’ll treasure for a lifetime. Overall, dance has helped me grow as a person and is the pillar of strength I’ll always count on.”
