Join us for a night like no other! Happening at Somerset Skate Park on 2 July (Saturday), #somernights: Silent Cinema is an immersive cinema experience under the stars in the heart of Somerset Belt. Bring your own chairs (BYOC) and pack your picnic baskets! Get comfortable on one of the skate ramps or on the ground and enjoy Encanto at 7.30pm and Shang-Chi at 10pm outdoors on the big screen, with audio via your mobile phone and headphones.
Attendees must purchase your own ticket via the Cinewav app at $10 each. This comes with a small Garrett’s popcorn bag. Feel free to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages, and don’t forget to charge your phone before coming!
The space is accessible to wheelchair users and individuals with personal mobility devices. Please refer to our accessibility deck for more information. Should you require assistance, please let us know at somersetbelt@nyc.gov.sg.
How it works:
1. Ticket sales will begin on 14 June
2. Download the Cinewav app (available on Google Play Store or Apple App Store)
3. On the app, search for #somernights
4. Buy and download your ticket (each ticket admits 1)
5. Prep your picnic baskets and chairs or mats
6. Remember to charge your phone, and bring it along with your headphones
7. See you at Somerset Skate Park on 2 July!
Doors open from 7pm. Please sign-in at the Somerset Skate Park entrance at Bus Stop 08121 (outside Somerset Station) to redeem your popcorn.
Note that tickets are sold individually via the Cinewav app and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
This is a fully vaccinated event.
In case of rain, the event will be postponed and ticket holders will be notified 2-hours prior to the start of the event.

The Madrigals are an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift — every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigals last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings (PG-13)
Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings” stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng
