Many low-wage workers work in essential jobs or belong to economically important sectors, yet they receive little respect and appreciation by the general public in Singapore.
How can we generate societal mindset changes, such that the public comes to genuinely respect these everyday heroes?
Common Sense aims to cultivate respect for low wage workers in younger Singaporeans.
They will create a 5-stage exhibition which will bring young students through a visceral experience of the job scopes and essentiality of low-wage workers. Participants will first obtain glimpses of how different society would be without these low-wage workers, via photos and exhibits. Then, they will hear for themselves the voices and plights of these workers, before being shown how a little respect can go a long way. At the end of the experience, participants will be given a call to action to decide what they will do differently after the experience.

i think interactive exhibits can be done to illustrate the pains for the various low wage workers instead e.g. building something. that being said, pride of these workers need to be considered when determining the phrasing of the campaign

This is an interesting idea that I have not seen anywhere before. It is something that I know that if i were to go out with my friends, I would drag them along to see this exhibition. But if it were a paid exhibition, then this would be a whole different story. A good to capture audience\'s attention and make them want to continue on w the rest of the exhibiton would be to have a short, smaller scale, demo exhibition that is free for all- hopefully would incentivise them to go through the whole experience.
