Problem Statement

With the ongoing pandemic, many foreign nurses working in Singapore are away from their families, and unable to return home to visit them for an extended period of time. A lack of a mental-emotional support and the stress of working in the healthcare sector has taken a toll on the mental health of foreign nurses. How can we help support this group of foreign hospital nurses better?

Project Description

The Home Away From Home project seeks to show appreciation for our foreign hospital nurses by reuniting them with their ethnic community, creating a support system through food. By offering weekly home-cooked meal plans of their cuisine, the team attempts to bring a sense of familiarity in a foreign land.

Post COVID, the team hopes to facilitate monthly visits to help these nurses connect with others of similar backgrounds and experiences, creating a personalised support system for them.
