In response to "What was your biggest realisation moving from “student world” to the “real world”?"
The student world does not equip you for the “real world”. The education system is extremely dated and ineffective in equipping people with actual life skills that they need to thrive e.g. self-care, mental health, relationships, managing your personal finances, personal growth, emotional intelligence, figuring out your values and what makes life meaningful for you, etc.

From my personal experiences, it meant helping to improve others’ lives in whatever way you can, using your own unique strengths and abilities, and social enterprise is a great way to do it because it’s sustainable and scalable.

Ambitious, I used to have the same question too and I realized fully now why someone once told me 'the change comes from within'. In order to solve the world's biggest challenges through Crater would be to measure up and manage the split in resources, to fund partners who are geared and ready (via intensive research on them) for world change and to recycle back their losses and have such companies take on the responsibilty of adopting smaller partners and giving them a view from the giant's shoulder in order to multiply the successes and emulate it effectively by smartly tapping onto the resources given and matching it to the needs of growing companies under Crater's care.

In response to "What was your biggest realisation moving from “student world” to the “real world”?"
When you realized that your problems are actually the ones that you projected upon others instead and in due return back to you. For example, the self-centered notion of 'Not getting a job because I don't have a degree/experience' will eventually come back to the individual by way of attitude, performance and the values they hold in life. Thus the biggest realisation comes from self-awareness of the fact that you aren't the only operant in the world but you are capable of full control of the choices you can make.

In response to "When you were a student, what did being a changemaker mean to you?"
Being a changemaker was someone that was able to change the norm of how we do things, be it if the system was broken, wasn't custom-fit or right for certain individuals or the system is functional as it is, changemakers were the people whom I dream about to be, to stray from the ordinary and bring about betterment to the way things can be made to this world. I am not talking about the club leaders, school presidents or even a change of staff, but those who look at the system in the eye, understood it, and introduced either a better way to reinforced the status quo or completely subvert it to a whole different school of thought with its own cult following.

I think that people must communicate, cooperate, hold meetings, look at and discuss issues from multiple channels and perspectives. They must not be single-handed, not emotional, learn to listen, and be tolerant. Many issues can be handled more flexibly. Let’s share. Adopt the best policy, and things can be solved easily.

I think the real world is very competitive. My opponent is not only others, but also myself. The scary thing is that everyone works very hard to show their abilities and hoe to stand out from the reset. Whoever doesn't work hard will be eliminated.

It takes collective effort. The world’s biggest challenges are very often systemic, so it takes more than an individual’s actions. Right conversations need to happen and at the scale of the mass.

Not every single task requires your utmost diligence and effort. You need to learn to prioritise and decide what yields the most results, and spend more effort in that.

Physical co-location may be difficult and in fact unnecessary in the age of COVID. Have you thought about creating an online platform for collaboration? And who will you engage to organise and run this platform in order to ensure that resources are going to the right places? E.g. How will collaboration across projects be facilitated?

How hard it is to create change. The existing structures of the world are hard to change so sometimes we end up having to work with these structures rather than overturning / circumventing them

I love the idea of co-creation spaces for innovation and social impact!!
One concern I have is that while the spatial constraint is solved as there is a shared, common space, there might be an issue of a temporal limitation - i.e., people from nonprofits, social enterprises, SMEs, corporates, government bodies may be in the same space, at the same time but not have the bandwidth/time to explore opportunities to collaborate or leverage on each other’s assets. My qn for the team is how might such opportunities for interaction and co-creation be encouraged? Also, how might you get the initial buy-in and alignment of organisational goals/KPIs from these diverse stakeholders as they tend to have different and possibly even conflicting missions/day-to-day goals?

For MOM Security ,
There been fights and Grab food is one of them, i will it in other member idea proposal .
I will Put Safe distance ambassador in other member idea proposal as well .
We must strict with our security and security must have actual jobs , some are confuse what security and police job requirement and they thought security is solving important issue like Parti Lynni case . Can we hire secuirty that do not need to show face just because they work .One commenters/Keyboard warrior suggestors had comment on differences between security and police .
SMRT - we seen some of public sleeping on SMRT , can we have strict enforcement toward SMRT , some say SMRT staffs are not working hard enough
SMRT staffs are not waking up people that is sleeping on floors on train and block access (You can find the article on Stomp , a man was seen lying on floor in Yew Tee).

I want to add a little add on on youur 3rd qns , on side note , i hope your project will make it in parliament and many will to be your partner and work on your project .
MOM toward PWD/SN - Some of PWD/SN aren't able to find jobs and a job scheme like 7-11 grant job matching e2i scheme .
MOM - Some of the workers esp Fts have breaching , DPM Heng mentioned we need foreigners , but what types of foreigners and Singaporeans are seeking quality FTs instead of Quantity and many FTs breach Safe distance which i cover in other member YAC Idea , do illeagal work and we should banned this type of FTs .
The second thing , we must have quality work where works do not duplicate jobs like we cannot have 5-10 cleaners cleaning a small room .
Third - Workplace should be place for working and not chatting , Can we have floor manager in each floors if the company have 20-30 floors
, For Elderly, can we have a scheme for elderly and elderly work and job grant where the elderly do not steal jobs and we must create more jobs for them eg toilet ambassador jobs , green ambassador , cardboard and rennovate job and a quota for each company because one of MPs say there is no need for quota in one of parliament .
Political agenda and General elections 2020 : Can we set a high standard for civil servant and also GE2020 to not policise on politicians agenda and their personal agenda or attacks toward opposition and more on issues , The Ivan case and attitude based both WP and PAP haven't been solve , we must have strict behaviour test in PMO office and those who have no job can volunteer in GE2025 , can we have a scheme for it .
The Ivan lim case is very serious and need to be address in parliament . Can we have a behaviour test in General election centre itself including the worker party . The civil servant case is serious as well. This is biggest challenge in world in my opinion .
Apart from climate change and flood .

My first experience transiting to the “real world” would be during my outreach to Non-profit org & various interest grps while working on my project work in Jc. I realize that the real world demands for tangible results, thus I had to be a hyper realist & a devil’s advocate to ensure that my proposal addressed real world issues like “finances” “Cultural limitations” etc

When I was a student, I initially assumed that my impact would be limited by my lack of expertise& experience. Thus I mostly thought of myself as a doer instead of a planner/an organizer. However, after learning about some prominent youth advocates, I realize that I just have to widen my horizon and voicing out the little issues that I , uniquely as a teenager face everyday.

Sounds like an awesome project !! Keep up the good work guys !!
Side comment: Regarding Co-creation ( Which involves feedback from customers) I see a trend in org/individuals asking viewers to vote on Instagram to garner their opinion. Well perhaps since the future is heading towards digitalization instead of pen and paper , we could capitalize on social media platforms of prominent interest grps to advertise / gamer feedback :)

The world biggest problem 1. Convid 19 and Disease X which DPM, PM and MTF had mentioned 2. MOM problem - what suggestion do you think it work i mentioned in pt 2 , 3. Climate change which our PM mentioned , i think we need to think out of box and be innovative and climate change we must educate and educate and create flyers and ask those who left behind or finding work to deliver such powerful message through brochures which i mentioned . The other world problem is earthquake, flood and etc, riots and terrorism but now there is fights in security under MOM , security need to change model on fighting in Little India and other places .
