ACSO is 5! Championing Local and Asian music through Diversity

The Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra (ACSO), a non-profit Arts Company, was formed in early 2016 with the aim of championing Asian cultural music and symphonic works composed in an Asian aesthetic that go beyond mere melodic and instrumentation pastiche, celebrating them with equal regard to their Western counterparts.

In this celebratory concert, the musicians of ACSO will reunite back on stage to perform notable and newly commissioned concertos by our acclaimed local composers such as Edmund Song (ACSO, Composer-In-Residence), Wang Chen Wei (SCO, Composer-In-Residence) and Eric Watson (Cultural Medallion 2019). Joining us will be some of Singapore’s celebrated instrumentalists, such as Govin Tan (Tabla), Ralph Emmanuel Lim (Clarinet), Yvonne Tay (Guzheng), Niranjan Pandian (Bansuri), Jacky Ng (Suona) and Azrin Abdullah (Oud).

Singapore’s 2021 Cultural Medallion recipient Rahimah Rahim will also return to serenade with the ACSO once again. This will be a concert of new works, new sounds, with an amazing visual and audio treat of exciting soloists for the audience.

Ticket Price: $28
