In response to "How Can We Improve?"
caveat: i bring containers to tapao my food 90% of the time, so i may or may not be your target audience - depending on your project\'s objective. i think the idea to make bringing containers cool and fun is great! We definitely need a mindset shift on this. However, i think we should keep some main principles in mind to market it to the mass audience: affordable, light-weight, easy to clean, versatile. Affordable: Personally for me, I collect many different containers at home and in office so I will not be caught in a situation when I need to dabao but don\'t have a container lying around. I think being prepared is the best way to reduce the inconvenience of bringing containers, reducing the barrier to entry. So the price point is important to encourage consumers to buy enough for their needs, and weave in this habit in their daily life. Light-weight, easy to clean: Bunched these two together because they are about the material. One of the main pain points of bringing own container is the wash up after eating, so the material should ideally not trap oil and grease. I really like stainless steel for this. Porcelain and glass works too but they\'re more bulky. Versatile: as mentioned in my previous answer, the tapaoware should meet 90% of our dabao needs. Not really sure how the Origami idea can work but is there a way we can reconfigure our tapaoware depending on our meal? i.e. Chicken rice will need a tiny, carved out space to put the condiments (chilli, soy sauce), wanton mee should ideally allow us to portion out a separate space for the soup? One other idea on promoting your idea: I think your publicity materials should also focus on the benefits of using your own tapaoware! Some perks I can think of is you don\'t have to worry about the cleanliness of the store\'s own takeaway containers, if your container is large enough some stalls may subconsciously give more portion, and at some places you get discount! sidenote: love the name! what a cute pun of dabao and tupperware. All the best!
